A pedestrian in Seattle sustained serious injuries when he was struck at a busy intersection on Thursday.
David Arutyunyan suffered severe injuries after he was hit by a motorist on Thursday, February 13 in Seattle. Local law enforcement stated that at approximately 4:19 p.m. local time, Mr. Arutyunyan was tragically struck by a 2008 pickup truck operated by 57-year-old Dale Cox. The accident occurred at the intersection of 5th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Northgate Way when, law enforcement added, the motorist failed to yield to the pedestrian while he was in a crosswalk attempting to cross the roadway.

Paramedics promptly got to the scene of the accident and took the victim to a local medical facility where he is receiving treatment for severe injuries, law enforcement said.

Based on the official report by Seattle law enforcement personnel, the operator of the pickup failed to yield the pedestrian in the crosswalk and subsequently struck the victim.
