CASTAIC, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol have released the identity of a truck driver killed in a rollover crash lat Monday, January 4th.
According to CHP, 58-year-old Richard Peter Heeschen lost control of his semi along the 5 Freeway near Templin Highway at about 12:40 p.m.

The truck then went down an embankment nearly 50 feet. Heeshen was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A CHP trooper was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries following the accident. No further information with regard to their identity or condition has been released at this time.
