LONG BEACH, CA – Police in Long Beach have identified the woman killed following a pedestrian hit-and-run last Friday morning.
According to the Long Beach Post, the incident occurred near the intersection of Del Amo Boulevard and Cherry Avenue around 5:35 a.m.

Police say 54-year-old Stephanie Jackson may have been asleep in the roadway when she was fatally struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Both the driver and a passenger in the vehicle were seen fleeing the scene of the crash on foot.
Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the incident at this time.
