QUARTZ HILL, CA – One man was killed and a child hospitalized in critical condition after a rollover collision in Quartz Hill late Friday night.
According to the Antelope Valley Times, the single-vehicle accident was reported along Avenue L near the intersection with 40th Street West at about 10:22 p.m.

Investigators believe the adult male driver of a Honda Accord lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons causing it to crash into a nearby shopping center sign before rolling over in the parking lot of a Chase Bank.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash while his passenger, a female child, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say she is expected to survive.
The identity of the man killed as a result of the crash is being withheld pending further investigation.
