The crash happened around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday when a Mercedes-Benz collided with a Kia SUV at the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Orange Ave. Two of the fatalities have been identified as Alexanders Miller, 63, of Los Angeles, and Jacob Rolon, 32, of La Mirada.

The name of the third fatality has not yet been revealed because the relatives of the victim have not yet been notified.
Nobody was found in the Mercedes-Benz, the occupants are believed to have fled the scene. Authorities eventually found a woman they believe was the driver and two women passengers. They were all seriously injured.
The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run.
