A 2010 Lexus sedan was speeding down the highway when it lost control around a curve. The vehicle then rear-ended a 2007 Dart International tractor and trailer which was parked on the right shoulder, catching fire in the collision.
Both occupants of the Lexus, a 38-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were killed at the scene. The 35-year-old truck driver was not injured.
Police suspect alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
