SAN DIEGO, CA – Two men are in the hospital after a driver believed to be under the influence sped through University Heights on a golf cart, local news reports.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the area of Adams Avenue and Florida Street. Three men were on a golf cart travelling recklessly at high speeds.

The driver eventually lost control, causing one of the passengers to fall out and hit his head on the pavement. The other two men then abandoned the golf cart and fled on foot.
Police eventually apprehended the driver and took him to the hospital. The passenger who fell out of the golf cart is being treated for a brain bleed.
The third man involved evaded pursuit. Police have not yet said if the driver will face charges.
