MADERA, CA – A 47-year-old man was killed by a train in Madera on Monday night, ABC 30 reports.
The accident occurred at the crossing on 4th Street near Gateway Drive around 7 p.m.

The train was travelling about 45 miles per hour when it struck the man. The conductor blew his horn several times but was unable to avert a collision.
Police are still investigating the incident but do not believe it was a suicide.
