TRAVER, CA – A three vehicle accident near Traver killed three people and police suspect alcohol may have been a cause, local news reports.
The accident occurred on Avenue 368 when a 35-year-old man allowed his 1999 Toyota to drift into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a Honda driven by a 61-year-old woman. The Toyota then crashed into the back of a 1997 Chevrolet that had attempted to avoid the accident.

The driver of the Toyota, as well as two people in the Honda, died at the scene. Another person was also hospitalized as a result of the crash.
Police believe alcohol was a factor and are continuing to investigate the crash.
