SAN DIEGO, CA – According to ABC 10, a driver and two children were taken to the hospital after a car crashed off State Route 94 and into a home in Mount Hope.
Officials with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said the accident occurred on the 1100 block of 39th Street around 9:45 p.m.

The preliminary report stated a white Mustang careened off of an off ramp and rolled down an embankment before striking the house. The vehicle went through a wall and came to a stop in a bedroom with two sleeping children inside. They were pinned under wood and rubble from the wreckage.
Fortunately, firefighters and the parents were able to rescue the kids from the debris. They sustained minor injuries and were taken to Rady Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the Mustang also required hospitalization, though no details on the extent of their injuries were provided.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and are unsure if drugs or alcohol played a role.
