SANTA ROSA, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal collision on State Route 1 in Santa Rosa on Wednesday evening.
According to a tweet from the CHP, the crash occurred at mile marker 31 around 3:57 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found an overturned vehicle with a motorist still trapped inside. An ambulance and a coroner were called to the scene before the person was extracted from the vehicle.
CHP clarified that no other vehicles were involved and the motorist passed away from their injuries.
