RIVERSIDE, CA – Crews with CAL FIRE and Riverside County Fire Department responded to a crash requiring extrications on Interstate 10 early Sunday morning.
According to the department’s official Twitter acount, the collision involved a commercial vehicle and occurred at 4:49 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-10, west of Chiriaco Summit.

Three motorists were trapped in their vehicle before being extricated and taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.

The California Highway Patrol began an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
