An accident along the Washington 14 on Thursday, March 12, claimed the life of a Stevenson woman. The Washington State Patrol released that the accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. when 57-year-old Terri Hazard lost control of her Lexus and veered into oncoming traffic.
Hazard’s car struck a truck that was traveling in the eastbound lane of Washington 14 and then crashed into a second truck shortly after colliding with the first.

Authorities pronounced Hazard dead at the scene of the accident. She suffered from extensive injuries during the collision. Her passenger, identified as 77-year-old William Hazard, was injured in the accident. He was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver to receive treatment.
The occupants of the other two trucks involved in the accident did not sustain any injuries as a result of the accident.
The men were identified as 61-year-old Randall C. Grudzinski of Walla Walla and 40-year-old Christopher S. Chahon of Somers, Montana.
The Washington State Patrol did not release any information regarding what they believe caused the accident. An investigation is currently ongoing. An autopsy of the deceased will be performed to verify the cause of death.
Washington 14 was shut down for some time while the investigators collected evidence at the crime scene and spoke with witnesses. They were able to reopen the road shortly afterward.
Police are still seeking any information that anyone may have in conjunction with the accident.
