FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA – A 34-year-old man was killed in a Fountain Valley crosswalk by a SUV that had run a red light, CBS Los Angeles reports.
The incident occurred around 6:20 a.m. on Saturday morning in the intersection of Edinger Avenue and Ward Street. The victim was attempting to cross Edinger Avenue when he was hit by the SUV.

The vehicle had ran a red light and then fled the scene without stopping. The victim was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries which proved fatal two days later.
Investigators have identified the vehicle responsible as a dark 1991-1995 Chrysler or Dodge minivan that likely has front-end damage.
