SAN DIEGO, CA – A man was hospitalized near San Diego on Sunday after a collision with a big-rig on State Route 163, local news reports.
The accident was caused when a man in a white Audi rear-ended a semi-truck in the northbound lanes of State Route 163. Following the crash, the driver of the Audi became trapped in the wreckage and had to be rescued from the vehicle.

The driver was then transported to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity. The male passenger in the Audi remained uninjuried.
Police are investigating the incident to determine if drugs are alcohol were involved.
