Authorities have identified a victim who lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Thursday, September 3. The deceased was identified by the Sangamon County Coroner as Jacob Inskip, 18, of Springfield as per the latest accident reports.
According to the details shared by the authorities, the fatal crash occurred on the North Cotton Hill Road on Thursday morning. Once the crash was reported, City of Springfield Traffic Wardens as well as the Springfield Police Department responded.

By the time the first responders and law enforcement personnel arrived on the scene, Jacob Inskip had succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy was conducted which revealed that Inskip had sustained multiple blunt force injuries in the accident which caused his death. For this reason, his death was ruled accidental.
