Authorities rushed a 68-year-old man identified as Samuel Lockhart to a hospital following a crash, per accident reports. The collision occurred early Tuesday afternoon, June 2, at Bishop Road, 2 miles west of 120th Street, And 4.3 miles east of Lawton, Comanche County, Texas.
According to reports obtained from the police, Lockhart was on the wheels of a 1997 GMC car at the time of the crash. He was eastbound on Bishop Road when his vehicle veered off the roadway, towards the right.

Sensing danger, the driver did his best to avoid colliding with another vehicle. This action caused the GMC to strike a culvert. Following the impact, the car continued moving 106 feet, before it struck a tree, and finally rolled on its top.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the crash location and attended to the victim, who was seriously injured. They first took him to Comanche County Hospital, before transporting him to OU Medical Center in fair condition.
Investigators discovered that Lockhart was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. They also said that the crash happened because the victim tried to avoid a collision with another vehicle. There is no additional information about the crash at the moment.
