LOS ANGELES, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol have reported at least one fatality resulting from a high-speed crash in Downtown LA.
According to CBS LA, the accident occurred near the intersection of Beaudry Avenue and First Street at about 12:30 a.m.

Investigators believe the man was traveling at a high rate of speed when his 2020 Porche left the roadway and struck a building before being sheared in half by a light pole.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures on the man. However, he was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.
