A man named Timothy Vaughan was arrested for manslaughter on Monday, 1/27, after he crashed into another vehicle at an intersection in Mesa, Arizona. The name of the victim was Silvia Arriolla.
When Timothy Vaughan crashed his car into Silvia Arriolla’s he it resulted in a fiery wreck. Arriolla was not able to survive the injuries she sustained and she died on the spot. There was a second person who was also injured in the accident. This person was rushed to the hospital. Currently, the extent of this person’s injuries are unknown.
The accident took place at the corner of Val Vista Drive and Brown Road. Following the impact, both vehicles caught fire, resulting in catastrophic damage to each car. Vaughan was not seriously injured in the accident and was taken into police custody.
In order to let detectives investigate the scene, the intersection was closed down on Monday morning, and traffic was rerouted. If convicted of manslaughter, Vaughan could face a lengthy prison sentence.

Silvia was on her way to work when her vehicle was struck by Vaughan. She was traveling the same route that she had done for years. So far, over $27,000 has been raised to help pay for the expenses of Silvia’s funeral.
