Walker, a 10-year-old girl, and a set of 3-year-old twins were taken to a local hospital after the accident happened where they were treated for minor scrapes and cuts. The 10-year-old was also treated for a broken arm and had glass removed from her face and eye socket as a result of the crash.

In the affidavit that was filed against Walker, she admitted at the time of her arrest that she had been drinking. She stated that she was under the influence of 4 or 5 vodka drinks and was on her way home with her children. The affidavit also went on to say that Walker failed the field sobriety test that was administered.

Walker is currently being charged with driving while intoxication with children present under the age of 15 and the possession of a controlled substance. Both of these charges in the state of Texas carry the potential for fines and penalties, including jail time.

The driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 present charge by itself carries some hefty penalties for Walker. Depending on if she has had any prior convictions in the past, she could be looking at a fine up to $10,000, two years in state jail, and a license suspension for at least 180 days.

Walker’s other charge, possession of a controlled substance, could be classified as a class A or a class B misdemeanor depending on the substance that was recovered from her vehicle. The penalty for possession in the state of Texas includes up to $4,000 in fines and up to one year in state jail.
