The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on Farm to Market Road 819, about a mile to the south of US 59 on Tuesday.
The accident claimed the life of 61-year-old Robin Register, a lifelong resident of the city, accident reports say.

Depending on the circumstances in which the crash occurred, Register’s family may be able to file a wrongful death claim.
The DPS’ preliminary investigation into the crash revealed that the victim was driving east on FM 819 around 4:35 p.m. For reasons that are not yet known, she drove off the road and overturned multiple times.
Register was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Lufkin where she was declared dead.
No other information was available on Wednesday, but the fatal crash remains under investigation.

Register’s funeral services will be held on May 23 at 11 a.m. at Denman Avenue Baptist Church.
According to an obituary posted online, Register managed her husband’s law practice.
She enjoyed a variety of crafts including crocheting and monogramming.
Register was an active member of the Denman Avenue Baptist Church where she took part in the Tuesday Ladies’ Bible Study and Kingdom Builders.
She was a mother of four and grandmother of one who loved chihuahuas.
