The Santa Ana Police Department
said the man was the only victim of the occurrence. The investigation into the
cause of the accident remains active.
Traveling on the road is
relatively safe if drivers avoid negligent behaviors and prioritize their
safety and other road users. Before driving a car, carry out a safety check,
adjust all mirrors and fasten the seatbelt, and seat correctly in the driver’s
position to ensure a clear view and reduce blind spots.
Avoid distractions when driving,
especially that of cellphones. Phone calls split the driver’s concentration and
increase the risk of a collision by nearly 400%. If the call is urgent, pull to
the road’s side, preferably on the slow lane, and continue only after
concluding the conversation.
When approached by an emergency vehicle, pull to the right shoulder of the road, and stop. If a car stalls on the roadway, put on the hazard lights to allow other motorists to see it, and wait for the relevant authorities to arrive without stepping out of the car.
