An accident on Friday, March 13, has left 34-year-old Rachel Kord with a broken leg. The accident occurred around 7:42 a.m. when Kord was stopped at an intersection in a Ford Focus waiting for the light to turn green.
The police state that it was slightly foggy in the intersection of Stony Point Road and Pepper Road, where the collision happened.

According to the report released by police at the scene, when the light turned green, Kord proceeded to go through the intersection on Pepper Road.
A Dodge Ram truck ran the red light at Stony Point Road and hit Kord’s Ford. The driver of the truck has been identified as 37-year-old Chad Greenlief.
Emergency personnel took Kord from the scene of the accident to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of her broken leg from the accident. It was not disclosed if she received any other injuries in the accident.
Greenlief complained of experiencing pain and was taken to Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Rosa for evaluation. It has not been released if he suffered any injuries in the accident.
Authorities do not believe that impairment was a factor in the accident. They have not ruled out distraction or weather conditions.
No charges or citations have been issued at this time regarding the accident. There is a possibility that Greenlief will face at least a citation for running the red light.
The police are still investigating the accident.
