A drunk driving attorney’s services would be useful in a possible DUI-related accident in the West Side of Hemet, California. On Wednesday, May 13th, the authorities disclosed that the accident ended the life of David Jones, 27, a resident of the city.
According to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, the single-vehicle wreck occurred on Tuesday night, May 12th, and the victim died at the scene. The accident occurred precisely on North Kirby Street, south of Fruitvale Avenue.

The Hemet Police Department Sgt. Dan Reinbolt said in a press release that Jones was a passenger in a 2019 Acura, driven by a 26-year-old male, Ernie Alaniz of San Jacinto. The latter was going south on Kirby when he accelerated and lost control of the vehicle.
Alaniz drove onto the sidewalk on the west side of the roadway and crashed into a tree. Witnesses told the police that the young man displayed erratic driving behavior before the wreck. He sustained severe wounds and is currently in the hospital in critical but stable condition.
The authorities believe the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash. However, they have not cited or charged the man with any offense. The investigation is ongoing, and the police will provide an update at a later time.
Prosecutors treat DUI-related offenses as a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the circumstances of each case. When a person dies, a guilty offender faces jail time and would require a drunk driving attorney’s services to represent his or her interest during the trial.
