A young woman in Dallas, Texas, who crashed into a parked patrol car while driving under the influence, would need the expertise of a drunk driving attorney. 21-year-old Dominica Lopez struck the police vehicle during the early hours of Thursday, May 14th.
The Dallas Police Department said that at about 4 a.m., officers were helping the Traffic Unit on a significant accident. The latter occurred on the southbound lane of Interstate 135E, and the Martin D. Love Freeway split, and the lawmen closed off the roadway.

While at it, Lopez, who was heading south on I-135E, failed to move over for the marked patrol car. The front left of the suspect’s vehicle collided with the front right of the marked squad automobile with its red light illuminated. The impact caused the car to rotate counter-clockwise and strike two officers.
The two lawmen sustained minor injuries, and the medics took them to Methodist Central for treatment. Lopez also suffered injuries, and the two female passengers with her — both 21-year-olds — also sustained wounds. The one at the front seat fractured her arm, while the young woman at the back broke her nose.
The medics took the trio to the same hospital as the officers for treatment. Investigators with the DPD determined that Lopez was intoxicated at the time of the collision, and arrested her. She is facing a charge of intoxication assault x2, a third-degree felony.
Those involved in DUI-induced crashes should contact a drunk driving attorney to represent their interests.
