The man side-swiped two vehicles waiting for the light at the intersection, leaving the cars damaged. While speaking to the police, their owners said the suspect kept on driving until he got to 200 yards from the first accident site.
Lubanski stopped after he struck a pole and collided with a third vehicle. The investigators said all three drivers did not suffer injuries, and the suspect was also relatively unharmed. A closer examination led the police to believe that the man was intoxicated, and he also had several opened beer bottles and cans in the truck.
The police said they also found cases of the alcohol drink, and the suspect could barely answer their questions accurately. He found it hard to stand upright, and the paramedics had to take him to a medical center in the area for evaluation.
The press release did not reveal the result of the evaluation, but the authorities stated that Lubanski is facing several DUI-related charges. Additionally, he is charged with two counts of fleeing the scene of damaged property, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle, hence the top accident lawyer.
