Auto accident attorneys would be helpful to the man police took into custody on Wednesday morning, May 13th, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The Plymouth Police Department arrested Ryan Reilly, 39, after he fled from them and crashed his vehicle into the harbor.
In a press release, the authorities said that the suspect came into their radar after they received a report that he stole his mother’s vehicle. An officer spotted Reilly on Court Street and tried to get the man to pull over, to no avail.

The suspect drove off, and the lawman and other officers from the PPD followed him; they continued doing so as he made his way into Water Street. Reilly drove the vehicle into the parking lot of the state ramp, straight into the water. The man then exited the car and charged at the officers.
The police said they used a stun gun to subdue the suspect before taking him into custody. Plymouth firefighters, as a precaution, took him to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital for a medical clearance despite not sustaining any injury.
The authorities charged Riley with use without authority for stealing his mother’s car, failure to stop for police, trespass by motor vehicle, and resisting arrest. He is also facing charges of disorderly conduct, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and license revoked as a habitual traffic offender.
The police planned to arraign the suspect via teleconference on Wednesday morning, but there’s no update on that at the time of this report. Those involved in this kind of accident should contact auto accident attorneys to represent their interests.
