BAKERSFIELD, CA – A pedestrian was struck while attempting to cross a busy highway late Saturday night.
The incident occurred just after 11 p.m. when an unidentified pedestrian was running across the highway near Hughes Lane, according to Bakersfied.com.

Police say 31-year-old Victoria Kiyoko Gomez was driving her Ford SUV westbound Highway 58 when the unidentified pedestrian sprinted into the path of her vehicle.
Investigators have not released any information with regard to the identity or condition of the pedestrian at this time.
