Auto-pedestrian accidents are one of the leading causes of crash-related deaths in California. They are avoidable if drivers and pedestrians follow safety tips and promote safety on the roadway.
Pedestrians should avoid jaywalking on highways and ensure that they wear bright colors and use a flashlight at night. Drivers must always yield to pedestrians, drive within the speed limit, and stop at crosswalks.
