A Crowley man has been identified as the victim of a pedestrian-auto accident that occurred on Tuesday, March 24. The accident happened around 8:50 p.m. on the 200 block of South Crowley Road.
The preliminary report completed by the Crowley Police Department revealed that the victim in the accident was 30-year-old Jeffrey Daniel Brown of Crowley. Brown was walking across South Crowley Road when a southbound vehicle struck him.

The driver of the southbound vehicle stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the police and their investigation.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced Brown dead at the scene of the accident.
According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, Brown died of blunt-force trauma injuries that were consistent with the automobile accident. They have officially ruled his death an accident.
The report was not clear as to why the driver didn’t see Brown crossing the road.
Due to the information gathered by the Crowley Police Department, there are no charges expected to be filed in conjunction with this accident.
It is possible to prevent pedestrian accidents from occurring. As a pedestrian, out after dark, it is important to wear reflective clothing. This will better help drivers see you in the roadway or beside of it.
The report did not say if Brown was in a crosswalk at the time of the collision, but using a crosswalk or other designated pedestrian crossings help make drivers more aware.
