ANAHEIM, CA – One man was killed as the result of a suspected DUI pedestrian accident in Anaheim early Wednesday morning.
According to the Orange County Register, the accident occurred at about 1:25 a.m. along Harbor Boulevard near the intersection with Katella Avenue.

Police believe the man was walking in the designated crosswalk when he was struck by an oncoming Chevrolet van that ran the red light.
The van then continued on down the roadway before crashing into a palm tree and nearby hotel.
The 50-year-old Orange man was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver involved, a 38-year-old man from Norwalk was transported to a local hospital to be treated for unknown injuries. He is potentially facing charges of driving under the influence.
