FRESNO, CA – Authorities say a pedestrian was hospitalized following a collision in northwest Fresno on Saturday night.
According to ABC 30, the accident occurred near the intersection of West Ashlan Avenue and North Marks Avenue at about 8 p.m.

Witnesses told authorities they saw a man walk into the roadway with heavy traffic before being struck by a car.
The pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the colliding vehicle stayed at the scene.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation.
