The victim failed to safely negotiate a curve on the roadway, went off the road, and overturned. The crash ejected the man from the motorcycle, leaving him with fatal injuries. The CHP said that it is unknown if drugs or alcohol factored in the accident, and as of Monday, the investigation into the occurrence remained active.
When it comes to operating a motorcycle or a motor vehicle, the same road rules apply, but different skill sets are needed. The design of the two is also different; thus, motorcycle riders are more at risk to suffer severe or fatal injuries when a crash occurs.
To avoid accidents, a motorcyclist must make safety a top priority when on the road and carry out several safety checks to ensure the bike is fit for the roadway. After mounting the motorcycle, check to ensure the throttle and clutch are working smoothly, clean and adjust the mirrors for clear viewing, and test the horn, front and rear brakes.
