BAKERSFIELD, CA – One person is dead and two others are hospitalized following a crash in southwest Bakersfield early Wednesday morning, reports KGET.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the accident occurred near the intersection of Panama Lane and Stine Road shortly before 2:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man with critical injuries who passed away at the scene.
Police say the other vehicle’s driver and passenger were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators believe that speeding played a role in the incident.
