BAKERSFIELD, CA – A head-on collision on Highway 43 killed at least one person early Tuesday morning, according to local news reports.
The accident occurred around 5 a.m. in the area north of Panama Lane. A pickup truck and sedan crashed into each other head-on.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. Police closed Highway 43 in both directions as they investigated.
