A top accident lawyer would be useful following the identification of the woman who died in a tragic vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision this week in Phoenix, Arizona. Noelia Gastelium, 28, of Phoenix was the fatal victim, the Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said on Wednesday, May 27.
Initial reports showed the accident happened at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Monday, May 25. A vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Palina Khastal of Peoria, struck the fatal victim while driving on Interstate 17, near Indian School Road.

The motorist told officers she was plying the route on her way home from work when she heard a loud boom as she approached Indian School.
According to Khastal, the darkness outside made her unable to avoid the collision as she could see nothing. She left the scene out of fear and stopped at a nearby parking lot, where officers reported finding her with a vehicle sporting major front-end damages.
Khastal admitted leaving after the crash but said she was about calling officers right after informing her mom, her aunt, and a friend. Troopers discovered her at Wendy’s parking lot, near 23rd Avenue and Camelback Road before she could report the incident to authorities.
Impairment by drugs or alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the accident. Hastal, however, was driving on a suspended license.
Deputies detained the motorist on a charge of failure to remain at the scene of a fatal collision. The incident requires the involvement of a top accident lawyer, who may review the case, and ascertain if the victim’s family can pursue a wrongful death lawsuit.
