Statistics have been gathered for motor vehicle accidents in which they indicate that for all-terrain vehicles. There were 13 fatalities in 2018.
Some of the common causes of these types of accidents are utilizing these vehicles on surfaces that are paved as they are designed for off-road terrain. The majority of ATVs have been designed for one rider, yet some drivers will take on a passenger. Other times drivers that have no experience will end up in accidents because they don’t have the required skills to handle the vehicle. It is not uncommon for off-road terrain accidents to occur because the drivers are attempting dangerous maneuvers and tricks. Off-road terrain can be difficult to deal with, and drivers may attempt this without being familiar with the surfaces they are going to be driving on. There are state and local laws that must be followed, and sometimes when they are not, and this can lead to an accident.
