A preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was traveling west on the roadway in a 2002 Ford Explorer when she went off the road. Moss’s vehicle overturned and struck a tree, leaving her with fatal injuries. The medics at the scene pronounced her dead.
Sanders said that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The GSP has also not confirmed if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident, and they will provide updates at a later date.
Accident reports show that crashes occur when drivers least expect it, and they do not set out planning to crash their vehicles. With the high rate of fatality in accidents, traffic officials advise motorists to firstly obey all speed limits and signs on the roadway.
Drivers should pay attention while on the road and drive responsibly. Never drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and wear a seatbelt always. Before getting behind the wheel, do a simple safety check, and ensure that the car is in workable shape.
