SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorist was injured when the minivan he was driving collided with a parked car in the University City area on Tuesday night, the Times of San Diego reports.
The incident occurred at about 9:40 p.m., when the 56-year-old man behind the wheel of a 1998 Plymouth Voyager lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a 2002 Nissan Maxima parked in the vicinity of Governor Drive and Mercer Street.

The driver suffered life-threatening injuries, including a brain bleed and fluid collecting in his abdomen. His current condition is not known.
