SUSANVILLE, CA – A 51-year-old man died after crashing his motorcycle into farm equipment in the opposite lane, local news reports.
The victim was riding south on Highway 139 north of Susanville when he lost control of his motorcycle going around a bend.

He then crashed into a man driving a piece of New Holland farm equipment in the northbound lane. The driver of the New Holland attempted to brake but was unable to avoid a collision.
The motorcylce rider was fatally injured in the crash.
Police believe that the high speed at which the motorcycle was traveling was a factor in the accident.
