A motorcycle accident happened in Reno on Saturday, March 7, at the intersection of West Fourth Street and Mayberry Drive. The name of the motorcyclist has not been released as of March 9.
The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. in western Reno. The motorcyclist was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center. They were pronounced dead at the hospital while being treated for the injuries that they sustained in the accident.

According to the police, 68-year-old Cheryl Stander of Verdi was apprehended at the scene of the accident and arrested on the suspension of driving under the influence and causing death.
The reports did not indicate the blood-alcohol level of Stander when she was taken in for the accident. It was not apparent if she sustained any injuries in the collision.
The reports did not indicate if the unnamed motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. It also did not discuss the specifics of how they were injured in the accident.
The state of Nevada requires all drivers and passengers on a motorcycle to wear a helmet when they are on the road or highway. Any helmet that is used must meet all of the standards that are laid out by the United States Department of Transportation.
The accident is currently still under investigation. Police are still figuring out where Stander was coming from in the condition that she was in.
