The Ford then struck a 2004 Hyundai Elantra driven by 45-year-old Monchai Chatsuwan, who was traveling northbound on Highway 195.
Due to the severity of the accident, Chatsuwan was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident along with Peaks.
A passenger in the Ford, 19-year-old Eric Christopher Hogan was also pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The third passenger in the Ford was an 18-year-old male whose name was not disclosed. He was transported to Seton Medical Center for the treatment of critical injuries sustained by Peaks’ collision with Chatsuwan.
In the original report of the accident, the preliminary investigation by the police believed that the accident may have been caused by speeding.
In the Twitter feed of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, they advised drivers to avoid northbound State Highway 195 due to the road being closed due to working the crash and that all northbound traffic would be diverted to County Road 234 to Ronald Regan.
The roadway was not expected to be open until after 10:15 p.m. to allow for investigation and clean-up of the scene.
No other reports as to the severity of the injuries to the unnamed 18-year-old passenger in Peaks’ vehicle, nor has any indication that he has spoken about what has happened. The investigation is ongoing and will be updated as more information is released.
