The driver of the Lexus that killed the Robinson Family from Portsmouth has been identified by the police. 77-year-old Milton Lee Long of Cooper City, Florida, was identified as the wrong-way driver on Interstate 95.
The accident occurred on February 23, close to 2:00 a.m. in Midway. The Robinson Family was on their way home to Portsmouth, Virginia, from a family trip.

A driver, now identified as Long, was driving southbound in the northbound lanes. His Lexus collided with a Nissan Rogue head-on. The family inside the Nissan was identified as the Robinson Family.
The Robinson Family- 41-year-old Sara, 37-year-old Nathan, and three children 13-year-old Rebecca, 12-year-old Stephen, and 4-year-old Alexander was pronounced dead at the scene.
Long was also pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been notified, so the Georgia State Patrol released his name to the public.
They still have not found the cause for Long driving the wrong way on the Interstate. It is not believed that the man was impaired at the time of the accident.
All of the victims were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
The crash was so severe that the northbound lanes of traffic were closed for almost 3.5 hours.
A neighbor and close friend of the Robinson Family spoke fondly of them. Brian Thomas shared that his family and their family celebrated every holiday together.
He said that Nathan and Sara were supporters of the band he plays in. They would bring the kids to listen when they would play at the Oceanfront. They also enjoyed grilling out and spending time together.
Thomas described Sara Robinson as someone who could cheer up the darkest of moods. He said that Nathan was a machinist for a company in Chesapeake and was great at his job.
Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
