SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities say a man was hospitalized after his scooter was struck by a car in Mission Bay Park on Sunday afternoon.
According to Times of San Diego, the collision happened around 1:25 p.m., on the 1200 block of West Mission Bay Drive.

San Diego police Officer John Buttle said a 67-year-old woman driving a Ford Escape veered to the right of the bridge’s roadway and struck the scooter.
The 30-year-old victim suffered road rash and a brain bleed, and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Authorities believe the injuries are non-life-threatening.
Buttle stated alcohol or drugs did not contribute to the crash.
