SAN PEDRO, CA – A man from the San Fernando Valley was killed after his vehicle drove off a cliff and fell several hundred feet in San Pedro Monday morning.
According to LAFD, 55-year-old Rodney McClinton was traveling near White Point at about 2 a.m. when his vehicle careened off a cliff within the 2000 block of West Paseo Del Mar at about 2 a.m.

Rescue crews worked to reach the vehicle where they discovered McClinton deceased a short time later. Witnesses say the vehicle fell about 300-400 feet before crashing to the ground.
No details on how the man lost control of his vehicle have been released at this time.
