When officers got to the scene, they found a group of people who informed them that there was an accident involving a 19-year-old male and a female of the same age. The two were riding on a four-wheeled ATV with Miller as the driver.
The unnamed passenger sustained minor injuries, and the medics took him to the hospital where he received treatment and was released. Miller received treatment at the scene of the accident, but she later passed away from her wounds.
The teenager was pronounced dead by the Justice of the Peace, Brenda Dominy, and her body sent for autopsy. The latter has not been released, and the authorities will provide updates once they have more information.
ATV vehicles, based on accident reports, are prone to have accidents on paved roadways as they are more fitting for rural settings. Riders of the four-wheeled cars should take extra precautions and ensure they have protective covering when riding.
ATV drivers should acquaint themselves with the safety regulations, and never carry a passenger when the vehicle can fit only one person.
