The authorities have identified the man who passed away from a single-vehicle crash in the Clark County area of Nevada, an accident report states. The Clark County Coroner’s Office released his name on Tuesday, April 14th, as Jerry Burley, 73, Pahrump.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. David Gordon said that the accident that claimed the man’s life occurred on Monday night, April 13th, in the south valley. Officers received a call about the crash at about 8 p.m. and drove to the area of Buffalo Drive and Torino Avenue, near Blue Diamond Road.

The officers used evidence at the scene, witness statements, and surveillance videos to piece together what went wrong. The three revealed that Burley was driving a 2010 Toyota Prius south on Buffalo at top speed.
For reasons that remain unclear, the car left the roadway, traveled through a desert area, and ended up rolling several times. Gordon said that Burley was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. He sustained fatal injuries and the medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The man’s death, based on the accident reports, marks the 27th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD jurisdiction this year. The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), more than ever, has advised drivers to obey traffic rules for their safety and that of other road users.
Drivers of all ages should fasten their seat belt when behind the wheel, and maintain the legal limit for each roadway. They should avoid drinking and driving and pay rapt attention to the road.
