A Chevrolet Camaro driving northbound on East 29th Street in Bryan ran a red light around 4:45 a.m. on the morning of the 29th. They caused an accident at the intersection of the 1700 block of Briarcrest.
A GMC pickup truck was going westbound on Briarcrest and struck the Chevrolet Camaro on the passenger side of the car. The force exerted in the collision caused the GMC to roll on its side. The Camaro spun out and struck a south-facing Buick Verano that was on East 29th Street.

The Buick Verano was occupied by a female who was transported from the scene of the accident to CHI St. Joseph Hospital. She was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released shortly after.
The male and female occupants of the GMC truck were taken from the scene of the accident to CHI St. Joseph Hospital. They both treated for serious injuries that they sustained from the accident. After ample treatment, they were released.
The Chevrolet Camaro had two occupants at the time of the accident. The passenger was identified as 27-year-old Bryan resident James Ross Ragsdale. He was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital from the scene of the accident.
Ragsdale was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the Chevrolet Camaro was identified as 21-year-old Midland resident Colton Bradley. He was treated on the scene and then arrested by authorities.
Bystanders on the scene of the accident attempted to use life-saving measures on one of the victims. They also stated that the driver of the Camaro seemed to be under the influence at the time of the accident.
Bradley is currently being charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter. He is also facing two counts of intoxication assault for the injuries sustained to the occupants of the GMC.
The investigation is ongoing.
