SAN DIEGO, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol shut down the left two westbound lanes of Interstate 8 after a collision east of College Avenue on Friday afternoon.
According to Caltrans, the crash occurred around 2:34 p.m.

The traffic alert did not provide details regarding what caused the crash or whether anyone was injured.
Caltrans provided an update at 3:50 p.m., stating the roadway was fully reopened.
