New reports still did not specify if Smith died at the scene of the accident or if he died after reaching a hospital. Turner was taken from the scene to an area hospital where she received treatment of her injuries.
It has been confirmed that once the hospital released her, she was apprehended and booked for the accident.
Police determined at the scene of the accident that Turner had been driving under the influence at it was a factor in the accident. It was not clear how the police came to the determination, but a blood sample would have been taken for confirmation while at the hospital.
Online booking records were not available at the time of publication to see if formal charges have been filed for the death of Smith in the DUI accident. Confirmation could not be made if Turner was still in custody or had been released on bail.
